Runway Styles for Christmas!

As we prepare for Christmas and get ready for the numerous parties, social functions, and family gatherings that we may have scheduled, there’s no better time to change up your look and embrace some of the fabulous hairstyles on trend for the 2014/2015 season.

While many of the runway shows displayed a barely there, more natural look when it came to their makeup styles, they had fun and were more playful when it came to styling inspirations for the hair.

Cornrows, Messy French Braids, and Plaits

Marchesa, DKNY, Alexander McQueen, Dolce and Gabbana, Givenchy and Simone Rocha are just some of those who featured playful cornrows or plaited masterpieces:

Fresh Takes on the Classic Ponytail

If cornrows are a bit too bold and trendy for your tastes, maybe consider a more traditional but just as fierce updo- the ponytail. Chic fashion houses such as Chanel, Fendi, Valentino, and Herve Leger all featured the timeless creation in a new light:

The High Bun

One style trend that never seems to go completely out of style is the ballerina bun. Whether messy, perfect, or somewhere in between, it always seems to make its way somewhere on the map. This season, designers such as Carolina Herrera, John Paul Gaultier, Prada, Diane von Furstenberg, and Roberto Cavalli were just a few who showed us how to rock them:

Soft and Straight…Or Wavy

For those of us who prefer our hair down, there were no short of inspirations on the runway for us either. Designers like Stella McCartney, Gucci, Chloe, Hermes, Ohne Titel, and J.Mendel showed us how to let our hair down:

If your hair is too short to enjoy these creations, feel free to play around with extensions and clip-ons…or even dare to add a pop of color to give your style extra glam. There truly is something for everyone to put their best foot hair forward! Have fun!
